Just recently, a small congregation of methodist church expected to close its doors this year 2016 including a 142 years Protestant church was then closed and put up for sale.
It was a “huge” and “shocking” plans as Bishop Peter Brignall, of the Wrexham Diocese, plans to shut more than 20 Roman Catholic churches across North Wales.
As outlined in a letter, Bishop Brignal stated that it is due to fall in under-retirement-age priests as some churches will close “within weeks”.
Churches and parishes will close at Wrexham, Flint, Rhyl, Dolgellau, Caernarfon and Colwyn Bay deaneries.
Bishop Brignall said that he will hold final mass of thanksgiving in each church as earmarks for closure.
