It definitely a bad news for businesses who belong to the America’s most hated company.
America’s internet provider Comcast has been ranked as the most hated company in US, according to a new report.
“The internet service provider and subscription television service industries are not known for superior customer service,” reads the 24/7 Wall St. report.
“Still, Comcast has a significantly worse customer satisfaction score than either industry average.” the published report added.
With over 350 internet service companies inlcuded on the survey, Comcast was ranked number 4 for customer dissatisfaction, outranked only by Time Warner Cable, which was recently subsumed by Charter.
In the same poll, the company received the worst scores in cost to consumer, performance, billing, and reliability.
Reading the published survey of 24/7 Wall St.’s annual customer satisfaction poll conducted in partnership with Zogby, about 55% of respondents perceived a negative experience with the company, the second worst of any corporation.
The recent poll was a combined data from JD Power and Associates, a Zogby analytics poll, and the American Consumer Satisfaction Index.
With latest disclosed survey from the 24/7 Wall St. has further confirmed Comcast’s struggling reputation.
Bagging the second spot in the list was Bank of America, primarily due to poor customer satisfaction with the company’s banking/credit card operations.
Meanwhile, the poll does not lies on unhappy customer service. In fact, the customer satisfaction comprises only half the story: unhappy employees are also a common theme for these companies, such as the case with Dish Network.
Dish Network got number 8 on the list of most hated companies, and part of customers’ contempt could be the result of the fact that “few companies are disliked by their own employees as much as DISH.”
“The satellite television service provider has one of the lowest employee satisfaction ratings of any major company reviewed on Glassdoor, and only 38% of DISH employees would recommend a job at the company to a friend,” the report added.
