Manila – After 10 Years The Philippine Air Force Will Have its New Fighter Jets The Fighter Attack 50 or FA-50 From South Korea
“FA-50 PH’s maiden flight took place on 19 June after the Philippines has signed a contract for 12 KAI FA-50 fighter aircraft in March last year. We will our best to deliver initial 2 aircraft by the end of this year.” This is the announcement of Korea aerospace Industry or KAI of Korea
The FA-50 is armed by air-to-air missile; AGM-65, air-to-surface missile napalm bombs and rocket launchers.
Last Year the Philippine Air Force or Hukbong Himpapawid ng Pilipinas (PAF) send its as-211 Light Fighter Jet pilots to South Korea for a six-month training in handling the brand-new supersonic aircraft aside from three Philippine Air Force pilots, they are also sending 30 Plus support personnel to South Korea for the much-needed flight and maintenance transition training.
“PAF is sending three of our most skilled instructor-pilots with the highest flying time with relative years in military service under their belt, to South Korea to undergo training,” Philippine Air Force Official said
