Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his confidence in a message sent to Donald Trump, hoping to keep each other’s views to meet interests of both Russia and United States.
In a brief statement, the Kremlin said that Putin hopes to work together for restoring the Russian-American relations from their current crisis state.
The Russian leader noted in his message that he hopes to address some issues that are currently on the international agenda, and to look for effective responses to the challenges of the global security, RIA Novosti reports.
Putin also said he has “confidence that building a constructive dialogue between Moscow and Washington that is based on principles of equality, mutual respect and a real accounting each other’s positions, in the interests of our peoples and the world community,” reports AP.
As Putin said at an economic forum in Moscow, We are concerned with the deterioration of Russian-American relations, but that was not our choice, we never wanted that. On the contrary, we want to have friendly relations with the US, a great country and a leading economy,” reports RT.
