According to Report Philippines is among the best in terms of Policy and Enabling Conditions sub-index (17) which covers government prioritization of travel and tourism industry (28), international openness (29), price competitiveness (24) and environmental sustainability (122)
For Natural and Cultural Resources sub-index, Philippines was ranked 56 which involves natural resources (49) and cultural resources and business travel (62). Under natural resources, Philippines ranked 18 in ‘number of World Heritage natural sites number of sites’ indicator.
For sub-index: Enabling Environment the RP ranked 90 which covers business environment (60), safety and security (128), health and hygiene (91), human resources and labour market (62) and information communications technology readiness (86). Under safety and security, the country ranked 136 in terrorism incidence indicator.
In Infrastructure sub-index, The Philippine Rank was placed at 82 covering air transport infrastructure (67), ground and port infrastructure (93) and tourist service infrastructure (82). Under tourist service infrastructure, the country ranked 131 in ‘hotel rooms’ indicator.
