An eerie surveillance video shows what staff at The Chapel House pub in Dudley in central England, claim was a ‘ghost’ have been surrounded at closing time.
Pub manager Katie Ann Round and her fiance Ben Parkes investigated what happened as a mop tumbles to the ground.
Round told a local media, “He jumped out of his skin,”
“When we looked at the footage later, we couldn’t believe it.”
“I didn’t believe in ghosts at all but this really spooked me,” Round told Daily Mirror.
Round started to manage the pub with her business partner James Stevens for about less than three months. They posted the clip to Facebook and it attracted media coverages. However, some viewers have suggested that the video was fake and only staged for publicity.
The managers then deny the claim, saying that there could be ghostly thing going on because of the venue’s cellar historically provided overflow cells for a nearby police station.
