Philippine House Speaker Pantaleon “Bebot” Alvarez called the resignation of National Police chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa amid the continuous controversy of country’s police agency.

The speaker’s request comes after a Korean businessman wa kidnapped and killed inside Camp Crame.

“Director General Ronald dela Rosa should immediately resigned as chief of PNP to save President Rodrigo Duterte from further embarrassment.” Alvarez statement.

Alvarez said in a statement released to media that Dela Rosa’s resignation would restore the public’s respect for office of the PNP chief.

“The commission of a heinous crime right in his very nose is not only an insult but a clear indication that he has lost the respect of his people,” the House speaker said.

“Dela Rosa should buckle down to work or better yet give the job to someone else who is dead serious in leading the PNP in its multi-pronged war against drugs, criminals and the scalawags within its ranks,” he added.

The high ranking official also barrels
Dela Rosa’s “booboos”, some of which went viral on social media. The house of representatives leader mentioned an incident where Dela Rosa was see panicking at a press conference when a confiscated firecracker began to smoke.

“How can we believe the stern statements Dela Rosa had been making against criminals like in the aftermath of the Davao City bombing when he was the first to run in the slightest possibility of danger?” he asked.

The lower congress czar also accused the PNP chief of being interested in having a showbiz career, singing videoke and watching concerts.

Former Hanjin executive Jee Ick Joo was abducted last October 2015 by alleged high PNP officers.

Dela Rosa confirmed Thursday that Korean businessman Jee Ick Joo was killed inside the PNP’s national headquarters in Quezon City.
