Elon Musk is truly never tired of making an update via his company Tesla, now the latter is planning to add in-car WiFi and 360-degree view cameras as part of its update.
The plan was out through a tweetstorm on Monday by Musk and said other updates coming soon include improvements to the Autopilot system.
The Tesla’s fans has an interesting conversation with Musk. He was asked about the possibility of adding a wireless hotspot.
“We could add that function pretty easily from a technical standpoint. Just need to add in the billing software,” Musk response to @shazm01, who asked the founder.
The idea was popular, and led to an additional request for a 360-degree view.
“Interesting idea. Would give a dynamic 360 deg surround view as you’re driving. Have this in dev mode. Can be a bit distracting though,” says Musk.
This function, which is already in development, could allow for a complete 360-degree view while driving.
Based on Electrek reports, the idea of the hotspot is not new, but fan popularity might give it more traction.
Meanwhile, Musk has also been talking about Tesla updates to the Autopilot system that are coming soon.
Some report said the Tesla Autopilot software release rolling out next month. New control algorithm feels as smooth as silk.
It can be remembered that Musk’s plan was to have every Tesla fully autonomous by sometime in 2017.
Also, Tesla will be conducting a coast to coast test drive this year, during which the human driver is expected not to take over control at all.
During the TED talk 2017, he confirmed that future Teslas on the road may be as autonomous as the coast to coast test car.
According to Inverse, Musk has already stated that if autonomous driving demands upgrades to the computers in any of the Tesla models, the design should make the process simple.
