Typhoon Chaba has brought destruction over cities of Ulsan and Busan in South Korea. It caused massive flash floods and damaged properties and left at least five killed individuals.
Ulsan and Busan badly hit by the typhoon where videos of terrifying storm circulated around in social media.
According to reports, power supply severely affected in typhoon-hit areas.
South Korean News agency Yonhap reported that The Korea Electric Power Corporation estimated 227,000 households have lost power supply due to the typhoon.
Local weather forecasters reported that typhoon Chaba is heading via East Sea with 56.5 meters per second sustained wind. Government agencies in South Korea still consolidating reports about the exact extent of damages by typhoon Chaba.
The Korea Portal reported that Jeju Island, which is the popular tourist destination in South Korea has been temporarily isolated where seaports and airports stopped operations. At least 77 flights, that both going in and out of the said island, have been cancelled due to the strong weather.
